  Could some of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, and Jehovah’s Witnesses “Governing Body” be suffering from Schizophrenia?

  could some of the watchtower bible and tract society, and jehovahs witnesses governing body be suffering from schizophrenia?.

  does it strike you as odd that millions of jehovahs witnesses and the multi-billion dollar watchtower bible and tract society might be directed by men who received a special calling by god as teenagers in the 70s?.

  in light of the fact that 99% of jehovahs witnesses accepted the accepted watchtower doctrine that the 144,000 were sealed in 1935, those that suddenly began partaking in later years, (especially untested youth) were frequently met with raised eyebrows and thought of as possibly mentally diseased in times past.. could there be an explanation?

  Have You Ever Gone To Meetings While Under The Influence Of Booze Or Drugs?

  i had an italian elder friend that regularly drank his wine (daily) and it was obvious that on some thursday or tuesday evenings, he was clearly under the influence of alcohol.

  quite often, we would have a 3:00 sunday afternoon elder's meeting and once again, i could tell he had been drinking.. nobody ever brought it up but i knew him well and he loved his vino and martinis!.

  we had a number of people on meds that would either act like zombies at the meetings or cry or get aggressive.

  A guy friend and I went to the memorial and had a few shots of Tequila for "strength". We got the giggles about 10 minutes in ...couldn't stop. About 20 people around us started giggling too. We left. I don't recomend it but it was fun. It was our last one.

  i no longer wish to recognised as one of the jehovah's witnesses due to the fact that i no longer believe that this 'organisation' is truly representing him because :.

  i have experienced greater and unconditional love/friendship with the people i am supposed to hate 'worldly people' than i did in this congregation.

  You have every right to send that letter. You don't know who will read it and "get it". Send it to your local paper and all the NYC papers. You can help a lot of people. Backlash sure weigh whether it is worth it. I love all the historical light. Can't argue with that.

  Should Barbara Anderson Write a Book?

  Barbara has so much information that it would be spectacular for her to write a series melding the history, information about cults, how people have been used by the borg, then thrown away like trash. She is in a unique position of insider views that have never seen the light of day. She must include information about "Where's Waldo, the pedophile". Who knows, it could be the next Hunger Games. (Just joking......but not really).

  I can't believe anyone would say that someone (other than Donald Trump) would write a factual book for the purpose of self agrandisement. Talk about projection.

  I hope she writes and writes and writes. Everyone needs to hear the real truth. It could shed light on those gb bastards and save so many lives committed to nothing.

  There were very few elders in my life whom I had respect for. Most of them were looser janitors, uneducated and dufises. There are 2 that I loved. One was a big strong guy. In my grade school years he was disfellowshipped for screwing a sister who was full time pioneering at the same time as him. He would come to the meetings for a year and stand in the back holding his bible and leave immediately afterwords. I remember the sister's husband confronting him yelling, "YOU STAY AWAY FROM MY WIFE!!!!!!!!" My mother actually stepped in between thembecause she thought there was going to be blows and the smaller guy would definately loose. Eventually The big guy was reinstated. He soon became an elder and I got to know him pretty well because he was always at another brother and sisters home, she typed all the schedules for him. He told me about what "really" happened. One day in service one sister and I were in the car while two went on a return visit. She asks me, "So what's going on with "the big guy" and Nancy?" "You know he's been in trouble in the past." I turned beet red and said they aqre just good friends, he handles her mother's estate and she types all the schedules etc. In fact he told me all about that other thing and the org wanted to exonorate him but he felt it would be better to let sleeping dogs lie. She paused a minute and then said, "You know, it was Shirley and I who saw them heavily making out in his cadillac". Shit I didn't know what to say. #1 the big guy lied to me and #2 from that moment I noticed things. He worked nights and would go to Nancy's house as soon as the kids were off to school and stayed until right b4 they came home. Sometimes the drapes were drawn. My back yard was against her back yard. I said nothing to anybody but I was sick at heart. Nancy studied with me when I was a kid. Eventually the other elders spoke to him and he immediately stopped going there and boy was she hurt and pissed. Despite all this I liked him. He had a photographic memory and could quote from the 1956 WT page 11 paragraph 4. He had a great sense of humor, worked hard, took great care of his family and his mother. He eventually moved away and when I heard he died I was shocked. I thought he would live forever.

  #2 is an elder. He has the best heart but is a little slow but extremely dedicated. His wife is a bulldog, pushey, nosey. His daughter is very mentally and physically ill but neither she or her mother accept it. So he has been an elder and removed, then put back, then removed, all because of his family. He's not a good speaker but he gives it 100%. I've always felt he's been treated with disrespect but he hangs onto "the truth". Sadly it is the only less insane thing in his life. He never judges anyone and is nothing but kind. His wife caused a giant riff between my mother and I.

  Anyway, I feel there a few good ones but really who would want that job? For most I believe it is ego.

  Many moons ago, when I was 19, living on my own, had a great job, I was raped by my assistant apt mgr. I went to give my rent check and he offered to make me a martini. So I said okay. I don't know what was in that drink but I only remember him carrying me to his bedroom, pulling my pants down and that was it. Took just a few seconds. Well, being the shameful indoctrinated little JW, I went to the congregation cappo de tutti frutti and told him what happened. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. This resulted in a committee and they deturmined I was guilty of conduct unbecoming a witless and I was publically reproved (talk about shamed in front of the entire cong), put on probation and labeled as bad association. When you are raised in the cong it is amazing what little self esteem you have that you can't stick up for yourself and they then kick that little bit you have right out of you.

  As for the story of Dinah, I just don't believe a whole city of men and their sons would jump at the chance to get circumcised. Are you kidding me? Guys today don't want to wear a rubber or get a vasectomy which can no way be compared with having your foreskin cut off without modern anesthetics. THEN to add to that they kill ALL the males, kidnap the women and girls, steal all their belongings. Yet, Jehovah, a god of justice, says or does nothing????? Even Jacob is only mad because of what the neighbors think. IF this is true then those Isrealites were an entitled little group of bastards. Cognitive dissonance.

  here is why it should be - jw retirement center for ministers of the full-time servant order.. there is such a lack of care for retired co, do, missionaries, special pioneers without real funds.. a real retirement center with care provided and hospital staff.. it will never happen, but if it did, what a change of heart by the gb for the beatup and thrown out full-timers who will never have to die in this old system!

  ok where i live in the pacific northwest in january of this year this elder from the hall called a special meeting and gave everyone some papers that he had gotten from some government place on what to put in an emergency bag to grab in case you have to flee your home in seconds.

  i thought it was just my husbands hall being all strange and stupid over this.

  one older sister said that the elder told everyone they needed three bottles of water for 14 days that is 42 bottles of water plus whatever other stuff they put in there not sure if she got that right because 42 bottles of water is a lot of weight.

  Will smartphone/internet access lead to JW declines in Africa?

  samsung expects to grow the african smartphone market up to 20% within a year.

  with the smartphone people have greater access to the internet.

  i know many of the developing countries in africa have limited infrastructure and access to electricity, but i would think companies like samsung have plans in place to build up the market.. do you think enough phones (and subsequent internet access) will rollout to cause an impact on jw numbers in africa?
